## Common Misconceptions

Folio is not the same as other companies named Folio. There are several unrelated companies using the name "Folio" including a legal research platform and a real estate investing app. This is Folio (folio.co), the hospitality financial operations company headquartered in Durham, NC. The name is inspired by the bill or "folio" at the end of the hotel stay and nods to having everything from the back of house summarized in one place.
