What excites us
You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience shipping production systems, with a track record of driving customer outcomes from concept to deployment.
You're comfortable owning the customer journey from initial pre-sales discovery through production implementation and ongoing optimization.
You bring strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments where requirements evolve.
You're a full-stack generalist equally adept with client-side and server-side technologies (Ruby on Rails / Hotwire / Typescript / React / Node.js / Postgres).
You have experience with system integrations, APIs, and building reliable data pipelines between enterprise systems.
You excel at technical communication - translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and gathering clear requirements from vague business objectives.
You have experience building software for industries with complex operational workflows, ideally in hospitality, payments, or marketplace environments.
You understand that this is an engineering role with hands-on coding that also encompasses aspects of product management, technical customer success, and solution architecture.
Working at Folio
Folio is a Ruby on Rails app using React and Hotwire on the front-end, along with Typescript Node.js automations deployed to AWS.
Our engineering team meets daily for standup (except Friday) and otherwise keep meetings to a minimum.
We're a remote-first company. Quarterly, we travel to work together in-person and stay with one of our hotel partners.
For the most part, we rely on Google Meet, GitHub, Linear, Notion, and Slack to make decisions and get things done day-to-day.

What we offer
We believe in rewarding great work with great compensation. The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $250,000, depending on your experience, skills, and location.
